As we head into spring and everything starts to feel a little more energized again, it’s a great time to look back at all the momentum our association has built over the past fewmonths. I’m so appreciative of the dedication and enthusiasm our members continue to bring—not just to the profession, but to each other.
Your Board has been hard at work since the start of the year. We held meetings in January and March where we focused on strengthening what we’re doing, supporting our members, and finding new ways to connect and grow together.
February gave us one of the highlights of the year—Court Reporting & Captioning Week. It was really great to see members across the state come together for software trainings and social events. The sense of camaraderie and pride during that week was something special, and it was a great reminder of the important role we all play.
In March, we had a fantastic MAR Education Day at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond. It was a beautiful setting and made for a really engaging day of learning and connection. We had some wonderful speakers who shared valuable insights and continuing education, and we truly appreciate everyone who came out and helped make it such a success.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to start working with our new Board and keep building on everything we’ve accomplished so far. We’re already planning a virtual event for September, and we’ll be sharing more details soon.
Thank you, as always, for your support, involvement, and commitment to this profession. I hope spring brings you a fresh sense of energy, success, and continued connection with your fellow members.
Warmly,
Dana Pon, President RPR, CCR
