Paula Mecke began her court reporting career in 1977. After obtaining her CSR and RPR, she enjoyed a career as a Freelance courtroom and deposition reporter as well as teaching court reporting at the American Business Academy in Hackensack, New Jersey. She continued work as a freelance reporter upon moving to New York and Vermont, until her final move to California, where she retired from court reporting and became a scopist. Paula also teaches technology courses at the StenoCAT User’s Network meetings. She is married with two children and enjoys boating, hiking, knitting and winter activities.
