We would like to thank you for your past support and future support of Virginia Court Reporters Association. You are an important part of the organization and we would not be able to be a viable, sustainable organization without your support.

Though we've had a tumultuous past year, the dedicated Directors of the VCRA Board, who so willingly volunteer their time and effort, tackled the problems and we were able to plan a successful well- attended convention. We accomplished revamping the Bylaws and getting them approved by the membership at our annual business meeting. As a result, we have expanded the number of directors to help with the tasks ahead to ensure implementation of our goals to better service our membership. We also established and will continue to develop our social media presence.

As we move forward into the new fiscal year, VCRA will be evaluating how we can offer more tangible benefits to our membership and seek out ways to be more cost-conscious for both the member and the organization. We have set out to develop a TRAIN program in an effort to help the membership increase their skill level whether a beginner, intermediate or advanced level. And we will be working with the Boyd-Graves Conference to review the benefits of Virginia becoming a mandatory certification state. We will be activating committees such as Membership, Pro Bono and Fundraising.

We would like to express our greatest appreciation for your support and would like to take this opportunity to ask that you renew your membership today! The deadline for dues submission is June 30, 2017. For your convenience, an application is available on this website or call Liz Phillips, Executive Director, at 757.995.5356 or by email at vcraexecutivedirector@gmail.com.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, the President, or any Board member who are listed on the VCRA website. We are happy to assist in any way possible.

Sincerely,
Your partners in preserving and advancing the Court Reporting profession.
